Overview
As a precious economic crop in tropical areas, cocoa trees have strict requirements for the growth environment, especially the supply of water, which directly affects the yield and quality of cocoa beans. Traditional irrigation methods are often unable to cope with the complex water requirements of cocoa trees, and the emergence of small-tube outflow irrigation has brought a new solution to the cultivation of cocoa trees.
Irrigation principle
The micro-tube outflow irrigation method can precisely meet these needs. Through the specially made small tubes, water infiltrates into the soil around the roots of the cocoa tree evenly and slowly in the form of a trickle, forming a moderately moist microenvironment, which not only ensures that the roots can fully absorb water, but also avoids the problem of water accumulation that may be caused by flooding.
Advantages
Compared with drip irrigation, small tube outflow irrigation has unique advantages in cocoa tree planting. Although the drip irrigation system saves water, the dripper is easy to clog, especially in the case of poor water quality. The flow channel of the small tube outflow is larger, which greatly reduces the risk of clogging and makes maintenance easier.
In practical applications, the small-tube outflow irrigation system can be flexibly adjusted according to the different growth stages of the cocoa tree.
