Struggling to maintain ideal greenhouse temperatures in the summer heat? Cooling wet curtains might be your solution.

1.What Are Wet Curtains?

The wet curtain consists of a water curtain sheet and a frame, which is commonly used in negative pressure ventilation and cooling mode.

2.The Working Principle of Wet Curtains

The cooling of the wet curtain (water curtain) mainly uses the physical principle that water absorbs heat in the air during the evaporation process to reduce the air temperature. In practice, it is used in conjunction with a negative pressure fan. The wet curtain is installed on one wall of the greenhouse and the fan is installed on the other wall. The cooling fan extracts the indoor air, generating negative pressure to force the outdoor air to flow through the porous wet curtain surface, so that a large amount of heat in the air is converted and processed, thereby forcing the air entering the room to drop by 10-15℃, and continuously introducing it into the room for heatstroke prevention and cooling.

3.Different Types of Wet Curtains

Wet curtains can generally be divided into internal circulation water curtains and central water supply water curtains. Internal circulation water curtain walls contain separate return pipes, drainage grooves, end covers, pipe fittings and water pumps, and can work independently. Central water supply water curtains do not have return pipes, drainage grooves, end covers, pipe fittings and water pumps. Multiple water curtain walls share a water supply and drainage system, and customers need to prepare their own water pumps and water tanks.

4.Key Benefits of Wet Curtains for Greenhouses

1. The wet curtain is made of kraft paper, using new materials and space cross-linking technology, with strong water absorption, high water resistance, mildew and corrosion resistance, and a long service life.

2. The product contains surfactants, which has a fast natural absorption and diffusion speed and long-lasting effect. A drop of water can diffuse in 4-5 seconds.

3. Using water as the medium, it does not pollute the environment and saves energy.

4. The power consumption is low, about 10% of traditional air conditioners.

5. Optional frame materials: galvanized, aluminum alloy, UPVC.

5.Applications of Wet Curtains

Generally suitable for cooling in greenhouses, large factories, poultry farms and other places.
